Our Story

Duratech Texas, LLC was founded in 1999 by a team of ambitious foundation professionals who'd watched too many Houston homeowners get bad assessments, oversold fixes, and patched-together work that failed within a few years. We've been serving the Greater Houston area since 1999 — and the same commitment that started this company still drives every job we take.

What we built is a contracting company focused on measured foundation assessments, named project managers customers ask for by name (Pedro, Mitchell, Chris, Greg), and a process that's transparent from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.

What Makes Us Different

We diagnose before we sell.

Most foundation problems aren't what they look like at first glance. A crack in the wall doesn't always mean the foundation is failing. Sticking doors might be humidity, not settling. Our team takes foundation measurements and explains the findings — even if repair is not recommended.

We repair only what needs repair.

It's tempting to recommend full perimeter underpinning on every job. We don't do that. We evaluate the measured movement and condition of the home, then recommend work for the areas that need it.

We put coverage in writing.

Warranty coverage depends on the repair method and the signed agreement. Ask whether your proposed pier work qualifies for lifetime transferable coverage; other work may have different terms. We explain the applicable coverage before work begins.

The Methods We Use

Foundations fail in different ways, so we don't have one fix. We use:

• Push piers — pushed into the ground with hydraulic pressure until they hit stable soil. Best for transferring home weight to deeper bedrock-quality strata.
• Helical piers — screwed into the ground for added stability, ideal for lighter loads or limited-access areas.
• Driven piers — hammered into the ground with hydraulic tools, often used in commercial or heavy-load applications.
• House leveling, shimming, and reshim — for pier and beam, we use hydraulic jacks to bring floors back to natural level, then replace old wood shims with metal and permanent fillers.
• Beam reinforcement — added where beams have rotted, cracked, or fatigued.
